Workshop Report on Parenting Education to NFEIs, ECCD Facilitators, Teachers and Principals 

8 - 15th July, 2014, Deothang Primary school 

 

Dzongkhag Based Parenting Education to NFEIs, ECCD facilitators, Principals and teachers was held at Deothang Primary School from 8th July to 15th July, 2014 during the school summer break.

Power point presentations, group works, group discussions and group presentations followed by feedback session. Power presentation slides, lecture method, demonstration cum lecture method, enquiry method, analyzing and critically discussion…

LCD projector, Laptops, In focus, Printers, soft copy of the revised parenting Education Curriculum Guide & ELDs, materials, rulers, Chart papers, Scissors, Computer papers, twain ball thread, Cello tapes and masking tapes, marker pens,  amongst others.

 Day One: 8th July, 2014

The workshop was graced by the Chief DEO along with Thromdey Education Officer, Sjongkhar where they high- lighted the importance of the 8 day workshop and touched upon programs. The following were covered during the 1st Day workshop.

  • Registration of the participants
  • We had the introduction session among facilitators and participants.
  • Presented the time table and overview of the 8 day workshop.

Introduction to the workshop, objectives of the workshop, what children need? What do effective parents do? Defining Parenting Education? What children need? What changes do we want to see in families & communities in order to achieve child well-being?
