Samrang Gewog CIC ready for offline services

On 11/09/2014, the Community Center in Samrang gewog has been equipped with computers and equipment. The equipment had been handed over to Bhutan Post, Regional Office, Samdrup Jongkhar on July, 2013 since the rural electrification had not been completed in the gewog then.

The Gewog Administration Officer expressed her views that though Samrang Gewog doesn't have a huge population, it would certainly benefit the few residents. However, she said, it could be more beneficial after the CIC is made functional online.

As of date, 7 CICs in Samdrup Jongkhar provide online services, 3 of which are disconnected due to fiber breakage. Network Connectivity of Samrang gewog CIC shall be done after the completion of 2nd Phase of CIC connectivity.

The CIC operator for Samrang gewog has been appointed by Bhutan Post, Regional Office, Samdrup Jongkhar. She has received a week long training with the same office.
