Tabletop Simulation Exercise (SIMEX) and Disaster Risk Management Sensitization Program

The Department of Local Governance and Disaster Management launched a Tabletop Simulation Exercise (SIMEX) and Disaster Risk Management Sensitization Program at the DT hall in Samdrup Jongkhar.

Heads of local offices, disaster focal points, and relevant stakeholders gathered to participate. The SIMEX offers a practical platform to simulate various disaster scenarios, facilitating the evaluation and improvement of response plans and coordination mechanisms.

Additionally, the sensitization program imparts insights into risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and emergency response planning. This initiative aims to bolster community disaster preparedness and response capabilities.
